The Cobbler's Kids Get Shoes

[Dec 29, 2004] For the past several years, ArtSites has focused all of its attention on developing some darn nice websites for independent artists. And all of our efforts have gone into that. The benefit to our clients is that ArtSites can now deliver a very powerful Web presence to artists, and we can do it with great economy. Capable Web developers abound these days, but most are much less specialized than ArtSites is, and they would have to charge artists many times more than we do in order to deliver the same level of service. The down side has been that, until now, beyond a single static page, ArtSites hasn't taken the time to develop a site of its own!

That has simply been a symptom of how specialized we are. Most of the programming we've developed to meet artists' needs simply hasn't met our own needs--those of a Web development service. Sure, we could have thrown up something more in just a few minutes. After all, anybody can make a website. But our philosophy is to do things right or not at all, and like the master cobbler whose children don't have shoes because he doesn't have forms for childrens' shoes, ArtSites has been barefoot in the website department--until now!

On this first day of our new website, ArtSites.com still isn't huge, but we've built an infrastructure for the site that will let us easily include additional material to show you the many opportunities that ArtSites offers to artists--and we have a wealth of information at hand to include. So take a look around, and come back soon to see what's new!
